Killard Leavy and Autumn Foursomes 2024
The Killard Leavy and Autumn Foursomes 2024 competition took place yesterday (11th September) at LIBBATON GOLF COURSE.
In spite of a strong wind and a chill in the air, there were some good scores:
The Killard Leavy trophy was won by LOUISE BROWN and ANGELA BULLER (Saunton) with a score of 34. The Runners-up Salver was won by LYNN BORG and JUDITH LOMAS (Churston) also with 34 (cb)..
The Autumn Foursomes competition was won by MAGGIE CAWS and ELAINE MARWOOD (Okehampton) again with a score of 34! The 4th prize was won by MAIR PRESTON - JONES and DIANA FRIEND (Yelverton) with a score of 33.
There were three Two's on the day: Two were scored by the Yelverton pair (Mair and Diana) and one by a Libbaton pair: Ros Pickard and Pauline Wilsmore.
Twenty clubs took part in the Killard Leavy competition and a total of 36 pairs entered on the day in either the KL or Autumn Foursomes.
Thank you so much to Liz White (Lady Captain at Libbaton) and her many helpers - ball spotters, starters, catering... for making the day so successful. The course was in great condition and it was a pleasure to play there.
