South West Vets Autumn Field Day hosted by Somerset County Seniors Golf Association 21st September 2023.
Jill Paul Chairman of South West Vets sub- committee, Kay Luckett Secretary, and Janet Handley travelled to Stover to host the event. Missing from the team through illness was Carole Paterson who had acted as the Post Box for competition entries, thank you for your organisation it made our job easy on the day.
A large field of 98 Ladies attended the meeting, the weather to say the least was very testing, downpours of torrential rain and a little sun. The competition had to be halted for about an hour to enable the green staff to clear the greens of water. Well done to all the ladies who completed the 18 holes,78 in all.
A big thank you to the Stover staff for their help in the organisation of the Field Day, before and on the day.
We hope to return to Stover in the future and enjoy their excellent course, hopefully this time in the sunshine.
